"Bog Myrtle" Myrica Gale Gruit 5.5% 375ml Bottle

Our annual collaboration brew on both sides of the Atlantic between us (Steam Machine Durham UK), and our American friends (Full Steam, Durham NC). In 2024 we both created a gruit (unhopped beer) using local historic plants that were used before hops to flavour beer.

For this one, we foraged wild bog myrtle / sweet gale leaves from the high tops of the Lake District. These ancient brewing botanical gives unusual - yet subtle - floral, lavender, and eucalyptus notes to this complex beer that tastes far more complex than a 5.5% ABV.
